The Upper Saddle River Volunteer Ambulance Corps provides 24 hour emergency medical services 365 days a year. Monday through Friday we are staffed by paid EMTs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Volunteers serve during all weekends and holidays and Monday through Friday from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Each volunteer crew serves one night per week and rotates through weekend shifts to man the two ambulances owned by the corps.
Our mission is to provide to our community timely, caring and professional emergency medical service to those in need. To achieve this we will maintain operational equipment so as to be ready and in good working condition. We will maintain and enhance our skills and knowledge by continual learning and training. We will work together with other agencies to provide optimal and well-organized care.
Most importantly it must be remembered that we are a special group joined for the good of the community, bonded by a common desire to help our fellow man. While doing so we will not forget to support and complement each other to remain a cohesive important part of this community.
