May 25, 2017 - Do you know how to help your pet in an emergency? The Upper Saddle River Volunteer Ambulance Corps is hosting a fundraiser Pet CPR & First Aid training course on Saturday, June 3rd from 9 AM to 1 PM at their building located at 378 W. Saddle River Rd in Upper Saddle River.
Taught with a “real world” approach by a 25+ year pre-hospital care provider and educator, the training is geared toward pet parents, pet care professionals, animal rescue volunteers and emergency service personnel. It includes lecture, demonstration and an emphasis on hands-on skills practice to ensure proficiency in the life saving skills taught.
Cost is $65.00 and includes a detailed handbook, certificate of completion and emergency muzzle. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Upper Saddle River Volunteer Ambulance Corps in their mission to aid the community. May 24, 2017 - USRVAC members came together to enjoy some camaraderie with food, fun and a great class presented by Dr.Mao and Dr. Sabo from Good Samaritan Hospital covering the administration of Epinephrine, Narcan, and a broad review of the State of New Jersey BLS protocols to ensure the scene stays secure and safe for all. 🚑
April 27, 2017 - USRVAC Ambulances 925 & 926 along with 7 members participated in a mock fatal motor vehicle accident at Northern Highlands Regional High School in Allendale along with mutual aid towns to show students the dangers of distracted driving and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Crews assisted with moulage prior to the event and extricated one of the severely injured patients from the wreckage. The USRVAC crew members with their patient (left).
Feb 16, 2016, 5:24pm - USRVAC 926 is operating on scene of a natural gas leak in Allendale in the area of W. Crescent and Hillside. USRVAC is supporting Allendale Office of Emergency Management, AVAC, AFD and fire units from Ramsey, Waldwick, Wyckoff and Saddle River. Additionally Upper Saddle PD is on scene for support to APD.
